Tagline Graphic

The EMG tagline is a design element to add visual interest and help audiences quickly understand the services and value offered by the EMG program. It may be used on EMG program apparel, printed materials and web content. The tagline is available as the following file types:
  • PNG files are best for general use. They have transparent backgrounds. There is one with black text and one with white text.
  • EPS is a scalable vector file that requires special software to use (Adobe Illustrator). Use this for larger images or for print where you don’t want to lose resolution when increasing or decreasing the size.
  • SVG is a newer specialized file type. It’s also a scalable vector image, but is recognized, rendered, and editable in several web interfaces.

Approved Vendors

While there are thousands of promotional companies statewide, the use of NC State’s trademarks – such as our logos – on products or promotional items often requires partnering with a licensed vendor. (Find information on NC State Extension Master Gardener program service marks.)Refer to the guidance below in determining how to produce merchandise or promotional items with NC State trademarks:
  • If the items are meant for external audiences (i.e., given away or sold)you must use a licensed vendor.
  • If the items are used as internal resources (i.e., employee or volunteer use only)you may use a non-licensed vendor.

  • The vendor still MUST follow NC State brand guidelines and meet university policy requirements – find more details and guidance.
  • Even then, using a licensed vendor can save time and ensure compliance – they already know the brand rules and approval process.

*Note that existing EMG-specific guidelines and processes, such as the EMG online store or name badge orders, still apply.
