*UPDATED (April 23, 2024):
New event recruitment resources — both in English and Spanish — have been added to the list below and in the Jobs and Careers section of our brand site.

A key priority of the new Extension strategic plan involves positioning Extension as a premier employer in North Carolina (i.e. recruiting and retaining the best talent). While this is a long-term effort that will continue to take shape in the coming months, we’ve developed an initial “toolkit” of materials for employees in the meantime.

See below for links to this new batch of Extension recruitment resources, which can be used by DEDs, CEDs, agents, specialists and other Extension professionals, both on and off campus, to promote local job openings and career opportunities:

You can also find these new recruitment resources, along with additional guidance and a variety of other tools and templates, in the respective Downloads & Templates sections of our N.C. Cooperative Extension and NC State Extension brand sites.

RELATED NOTE: We’ve launched this new Extension Marketing and Communications website as a more user-friendly, comprehensive resource for employees. All of the brand site pages and materials, as well as other key marketing resources, are now housed within this site.

We highly encourage local centers, departments and others to utilize these recruitment tools as we ramp up efforts to grow awareness of Extension and NC State as an attractive career destination.

Visit the main Extension Jobs page for more info, including an organizational overview, FAQ and links to all posted positions (including any job openings at your location).

Stay tuned for more updates and resources moving forward!
