Extension Banner-Ups for Every Local Center

(Updated: Sept. 18, 2023, 9:09 a.m.)
Extension Marketing and Communications has purchased 101 retractable banner-ups and five backdrop displays that will soon be available to every local Extension center. Funding became available at the end of last fiscal year, which we were able to invest in these resources that we believe will be valuable assets for every county.

What Resources Are Available?

  • 5 Backdrop Displays | 8’W x 6.5’H (view design)
    • Includes one display per district, which will be loaned / distributed at the respective District Extension Director's discretion (view districts and DEDs)
    • Note that the backdrop displays, while not difficult, involve multiple pieces and some assembly (instructions included)
  • 101 Extension Impact Banner-ups (view design)
    • These will be shipped directly to each local center beginning in July August

How Can My Local Center Access the Displays?

Each of Extension's 101 local centers will receive a banner-up shipment in July August or September, which will be mailed to the attention of the County Extension Directors (CEDs). Keep an eye on the mail!

Beginning in August, local centers may connect with their District Extension Director (DED) to request / make arrangements to use their district's backdrop display. DEDs will oversee use of the displays, which are intended to be a shared resource across the counties in each district.

While we were unable to provide an individual backdrop display for all 101 centers, we believe that a shared system will be more helpful than nothing -- we welcome your feedback!

How Should My Center Use the Resources?

We encourage everyone to utilize the banner-ups and backdrop displays whenever possible. Take advantage of these resources to grow awareness of Extension among your local audiences by displaying them in your lobbies and/or using them at local events, workshops and other occasions moving forward.

In addition to the displays, consider setting out Extension impact materials, overview handouts and local program pieces to help inform stakeholders about who we are, what we do and why it matters!
